Bed bugs turn up in the flats and shared houses around the town centre, foxes are everywhere from Petts Wood to Plaistow and the southern part of the borough down towards Farnborough and Downe has properly rural pest issues including moles, cluster flies and rats coming off the farmland. It is one of those areas where the full range of urban and rural pests all turn up within a few miles of each other.
