Sutton is a major suburban town centre in the SM postcode area of south London, serving a wide residential area that includes Carshalton, Cheam and Belmont. Grey squirrels get into loft spaces from overhanging branches and the parks and green spaces give them a steady habitat nearby. Wasp nests are a summer constant across the whole area, from the older terraces near the town centre to the detached homes on the outskirts, turning up in roof spaces, wall cavities and garden sheds throughout the season.
