Much Wenlock is a small and beautifully preserved town on the northern edge of Wenlock Edge in Shropshire, famous for its medieval priory ruins and its role in the origins of the modern Olympic movement. The town centre is a picture of English market-town charm, with half-timbered houses, limestone and brick buildings and the striking Guildhall standing on its timber posts above the pavement.
