Southall is one of the most vibrant and diverse areas in west London, famous for its South Asian community, the shops and restaurants along The Broadway and the gold jewellery shops on South Road. The town has a bustling energy and the density of food businesses, market stalls and restaurants creates a food supply that supports rats and mice at every turn. The Grand Union Canal runs through Southall and the towpath and canal banks are well-used rat corridors.
