Liphook is a village on the Hampshire and Surrey border, straddling the main A3 road between Haslemere and Petersfield. The village has a mix of older cottages around the original centre near the square and the church, with post-war and more modern housing filling in around the edges towards Bramshott and along the Longmoor Road. The surrounding landscape is a patchwork of woodland, heathland and farmland, with Woolmer Forest and the military ranges at Longmoor Camp not far to the south.
