Thatcham is a town in the RG postcode area of West Berkshire, sitting in the Kennet Valley between Newbury and Reading. The River Kennet and the Kennet and Avon Canal run through the area and the water meadows, reedbeds and wetlands around Thatcham are some of the most important in the south of England.
