Walton-on-the-Naze occupies the very end of the Tendring Peninsula, surrounded by sea on three sides and backed by the Hamford Water nature reserve. It is a classic small Essex seaside town, with a mix of Victorian seafront houses, inter-war bungalows and newer housing.
