Middlewich is a small town in the CW10 postcode area at the heart of Cheshire where the Trent and Mersey Canal meets the Shropshire Union Canal. The town has a long history linked to salt extraction and the three waterways that pass through it give the place a distinctive character. The canals also have a direct effect on pest activity. Rats are drawn to water and the canal banks provide ideal habitat.
