Hook is a large village in north-east Hampshire sitting in the RG27 postcode along the old London road between Basingstoke and Fleet. The village has grown considerably in recent decades, with modern housing estates around a centre that still has a traditional village feel with shops, pubs and a church. The surrounding countryside is a mix of farmland, heathland and pockets of woodland and the Whitewater River runs through the area. Hook is a growing village that still has a strong connection to its rural surroundings and the pest challenges reflect that blend of the new and the natural.
