Heckmondwike is a small town in the Spen Valley area of West Yorkshire, squeezed between Dewsbury, Batley and Cleckheaton. The town has a long industrial history and the housing reflects that, with rows of stone terraces from the mill days sitting alongside more modern estates on the outskirts.
