Verwood is a growing town in east Dorset, set among heathland and forest on the edge of Cranborne Chase. It has expanded from a small village into a sizeable town over the past few decades, with modern housing estates surrounding the older core. The heathland that rings the town is home to a wide range of wildlife and that includes pests.
