Preventing Pest Control Problems in Food Distribution

The most important part of our pest control system is to prevent a pest infestation from arising in the first place, although of course we are also available to eliminate any outbreak which occurs.

The first step we will take is to have one of our field biologists, specially trained for pest control, survey your site and make a report. Some of the things they will be looking for are:

• Signs of a pest infestation. There are many signs of a pest control problem which can be identified by our pest control specialists, before a large outbreak has taken place. In the case of rodents, for instance, this could be chewed cardboard boxes, droppings, and oily residues from their fur when they rub up against something.
• Potential breeding grounds. Even if you do not have a pest infestation currently, we will be able to spot any areas which could become breeding grounds in the future.
• General cleanliness. It is of course important to make sure your entire facility is hygienic, so as not to provide sources of food for pests.
• Building maintenance. Most pests are also going to be looking for sources of water, so we will inspect whether you have any issues such as blocked gutters or leaking pipes. Cracks and holes in exterior walls are possible entry points for pests, so they will also be noted.

Once the comprehensive survey has been completed, a report will be created detailing any issues which need to be addressed and appropriate solutions. Once you are happy with the work which needs to be done, one of our pest control technicians will be able to implement the plan.

Our involvement does not have to end there however, we also offer regular visits to ensure that the pest control system continues to work in the way in which it was designed. These can be particularly helpful before an official inspection, to ensure that you are in compliance with the law.
