Grisling Common is a rural spot in the High Weald of Kent, where scattered properties sit among the ancient woodland and open heathland that characterises this part of the county. The landscape here is hilly and heavily wooded, with sandstone ridges, gill streams running through steep-sided valleys and patches of coppiced chestnut and hornbeam that have been managed for centuries.
