Hastingleigh is a small village on the North Downs above Wye and Ashford, one of the highest settlements on the Kent downs. The village sits on a plateau of chalk farmland, with the wooded escarpment dropping away steeply to the north and views stretching across the Weald to the south. The landscape is dramatic and open, with large arable fields separated by ancient hedgerows and small blocks of beech and yew woodland filling the dry valleys.
