Newchurch is a small village on Romney Marsh in Kent, an area of flat, low-lying farmland reclaimed from the sea centuries ago. The landscape here is defined by drainage ditches, dykes and open pasture and that environment creates specific pest conditions that are quite different from the nearby towns.
