Withyham is a small village in the East Sussex High Weald, set among the wooded hills and valleys between Crowborough and Groombridge. The village has a notable church connected to the Sackville family and a scattering of period houses, farms and estate cottages. The woodland that surrounds Withyham is dense and extensive and it supports a large population of grey squirrels.
