Frome is a busy market town in east Somerset with a steep medieval centre dropping down to the River Frome. Cheap Street, with its central water channel and the cobbled lanes of the old town are packed with independent shops and cafes and the buildings here range from medieval stone cottages to Georgian townhouses and converted mill buildings along the river. It is one of the most architecturally varied towns in the area and that variety brings a range of pest challenges.
